Job Description

As a Data & Reports Analyst, you will support the Broker Governance Manager within the Broker Monitoring & Advice team. You will handle administrative tasks, manage key reporting responsibilities, and develop insights that enhance compliance and risk assessment. Your work will drive regulatory adherence, business process improvements, and informed decision-making across the organization.

Shift: Day Shift (Mon - Fri, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Weekends Off)

Work Setup: Hybrid (Ortigas, onsite for the first 6 months)

The Qualifications We Seek

Technical and Industry Expertise

  • Regulatory/compliance experience in the Australian mortgage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage broking legislation and credit advisory frameworks.
  • 1–3 years of experience in reporting and data analytics, preferably within financial services or mortgage industries.

Business and Data Analytics Skills

  • Proficiency in reporting databases, such as BigQuery, SQL, and SAS.
  • Experience using data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI, to generate insights and reports.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Index Matching, data collation, and creating internal reporting tools.
  • Ability to test data quality, validate reports, and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and optimizing multiple datasets from various sources.

Communication and Organizational Strengths

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for diverse audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.

Your Daily Tasks

Reporting

  • Develop and manage the Key Risk Indicator Dashboard to support proactive monitoring.
  • Use insights from the Broker Monitoring & Advice team to improve business processes.
  • Generate team operational reports and provide data-driven insights for the Responsible Management Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements by analyzing underlying data.
  • Work with the Broker Governance Manager to create structured, detailed, and informative reports on trends, causes, and actionable solutions.

Regulatory Compliance Management

  • Enhance the existing Risk-Based Rating system to prioritize reviews.
  • Respond to information and data requests from ASIC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder engagement through collaboration with business units.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting Annual Compliance Certificates and ASIC IDR reports.
  • Track and manage deadlines for ASIC Breach Reporting to ensure compliance.

Business Operational Excellence

  • Support the coordination, tracking, and communication of Lender Reviews with teams and stakeholders.
  • Build strong professional networks to resolve issues, escalate concerns, and influence decision-making.
  • Lead change initiatives, handle uncertainty with flexibility, and facilitate adaptability across teams.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure business alignment and establish a feedback loop for compliance and training concerns.
  • Support the Broker Governance Manager in drafting letters, briefs, and management reports.
  • Assist in policy governance for the Broker Monitoring & Advice team and broader financial services division.
  • Manage network queries through ZenDesk and provide ad hoc team support as needed.
