Urgent - Accounting Supervisor (Calamba Laguna)

Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Salary: P40,000 – P45,000
About The Role
As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing effective financial controls, and driving the company's profitability and financial wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Interpretation:
- Provide accurate and timely financial information and reports.
- Interpret financial data to support management decision-making.
- Review balance sheet accounts, subsidiary reconciliations, and cost center variances.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Manage Japan reporting, financial assessments, and group audits.
- Prepare and review annual audited financial statements and submit regulatory reports (BIR, SEC).
- Liaise with external auditors and government agencies, ensuring tax compliance.
- Financial Planning, Control & Budget:
- Implement and maintain financial control systems.
- Manage cash flow, non-trade receivables, inventories, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and implement annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Analyze product costing, gross margins, and material cost ratios.
- Manage intercompany transactions and bank transactions.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and internal controls.
- Approve payment requests and disbursement transactions.
- Manage legal documents, permits, and business-related files.
- Identify and manage business risks, including insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with MIS on technology development.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Department Management:
- Oversee and manage the accounting department staff.
- Ensure that department targets are achieved.
- Implement activities with efficiency and effectiveness.
- CPA certification is a must.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
- Experience in tax and audit
- Strong background in general & cost accounting, budgeting
- At least one year of experience in a managerial role handling finance and accounting functions
- Proficiency in SAP or other computerized accounting systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage confidential information.
